Vision Statement: The State Police strives to maintain the highest standard of excellence utilizing training and technology to create a safe environment for the citizens of San Andreas.
All sworn officers perform the basic duties of law enforcement: enforcing laws, responding to calls for service, and conducting basic incident investigations. The duties and abilities of a trooper can be enhanced by earning a certification.
Vehicle Enforcement Troopers: use LiDAR to enforce speed limits, conduct field sobriety tests, tow vehicles, conduct commercial vehicle inspection stops, and manage highway traffic.
Motorbike Troopers patrol the highways and cities on BMW motorcycles.
The Port Authority units enforce air and maritime laws and regulations. These troopers operate coast guard boats, pilot the State Police Air Unit (Air One), and patrol the beaches as coast guard.
SWAT Troopers utilize specialty weapons and equipment to support the front lines in hostage, barricaded subjects, and heavy weapon scenarios.
Narcotics Troopers are trained to handle a K-9, and to conduct undercover narcotics operations.
Investigations Troopers execute warrants, gather intelligence through undercover operations, investigate criminal activity, and act as negotiators.
